Dear Expectant Parent(s),
We’re Brooke and John. We are so grateful for the opportunity to write to you about our family and our hopes and dreams of becoming a family with a child. We have been married for almost three amazing years, and looking forward to adopting a baby.
When we were first told that we could not give birth to a child we were heartbroken, but we knew everything would work out. God has a plan for us through adoption. Adoption offers us a chance to realize our dreams and to give a child a wonderful life and a bright future. We would like to share our story with you from each other’s perspective.
In Feb 2012, I was honorably discharged from the United States Marines. That is when Brooke, who I met through mutual friends while I was deployed, began to show the most caring and loving person she was to me. While I was deployed our love story began through the emails and care packages that she would send. Soon she was driving over three hours to meet me for the first time, and the rest was history – with a Mt. Dew and a Slim Jim that we shared on the way home. Brooke is very devoted to family and church. She loves spending time with her grandparents on their large horse farm. Brooke and I have been together for five loving years, and married for almost three years. Two years ago we began to try to have a child biologically, but due to complications, she was unable. God then laid it upon her that it was His plan for us to adopt, and when the time was right, He would bless us with the perfect child.
John is the strongest, hardworking, funniest Marine I know. Five wonderful years ago we met for the first time and it was love at first sight. I knew I wanted to marry him and for him to be the father of our children. God knew He made someone special when He made John. John can make anyone laugh. He can make friends wherever he goes. John will make a great father; I have no doubt about that. He is a very caring person, devoted to me and our hopes and dreams of having a family.
Thank you so much for taking time to learn about us and for considering us as you make this difficult decision of who will parent your child. We want you to know how much respect and love we feel for you already. We cannot imagine how difficult this decision is for you, and we pray for you daily that you would have the strength and courage you need as you journey through this process. We know that you want what is best for your baby, and we pray that you find us to be all that you hope for your child.
